June 22, 2016: Trump says foreign governments can blackmail Clinton over her email secrets.

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump says of Clinton’s emails from her time as secretary of state, “While we may not know what is in those deleted emails, our enemies probably do. So they probably now have a blackmail file over someone who wants to be president of the United States. This fact alone disqualifies her from the presidency. […] We can’t hand over our government to someone whose deepest, darkest secrets may be in the hands of our enemies.” This is part of a speech entirely focusing on criticism of Clinton. He also says, “Hillary Clinton may be the most corrupt person ever to seek the presidency of the United States,” and claims she used the State Department as “her own personal hedge fund.” (NBC News, 6/22/2016)
